Fozia Mir, PhD

Assistant Research Scientist

Dr. Mir received her PhD from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India and completed her postdoctoral training at University of Illinois in Chicago. The focus of her research has been to investigate the role of thromboxane A2 receptor (TPR) in modulating the development and function of oligodendrocytes (OLGs). OLGs are the sole myelinating cells of the central nervous system. Her interest is to understand the role played by TPRs in inflammatory and neurodegenerative disease such as MS.
