Immunology research Positions, Postdoctoral and Research Scientist positions are available immediately at the Multiple Sclerosis Research Center of New York (MSRCNY) to explore immunological aspects of MS. Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent with relevant graduate and/or postgraduate experience. A strong background in immunology is essential, and experience in molecular biology and neuroscience preferred.

MSRCNY is a nonprofit independent laboratory research center located in midtown Manhattan, and is affiliated with the International Multiple Sclerosis Management Practice. Successful candidate will join an expanding team of scientists in the laboratory of Saud A. Sadiq, MD.

Specific areas of interest include (1) the viral etiology of MS, (2) mechanisms of disease progression, (3) repair and regeneration strategies, including stem cell research, and (4) translational research trials. Position and salary will be commensurate with experience.

Research Assistant, posted January 2007: The Multiple Sclerosis Research Center of New York has an immediate opening for a Research Assistant to perform a variety of immunology, molecular biology, and cell biology assays. Candidate must have a basic understanding of biochemistry and molecular biological techniques, and be capable of working with animal models. Previous laboratory experience is preferred. Additionally, the candidate should be knowledgeable in data processing and computer usage for data analysis and collection. Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, as well as good human relations skills with the ability to interact and work well with others, is essential.
